The Ministry of Justice works to protect the public and reduce re-offending, and to provide a more effective, transparent and responsive criminal justice system for victims and the public.
It is responsible for courts, prisons, probation services and attendance centres, and also works in partnership with the other government departments and agencies to reform the criminal justice system, to serve the public and support the victims of crime. Novus delivers high quality learning and skills in custody through Her Majesty’s Prison Service, part of MoJ, in its public and private sector establishments.
Through the OLASS contracts we are members of the Regional Governance Boards, which are ultimately responsible for the quality and quantity of delivery of Skills Funding Agency (SFA) funded learning, skills and employment provision, delivered to offenders within prisons by contracted partners.
Novus has formed a number of successful partnerships which complement the high quality training and skills we deliver to learners in custody.
Our custody partners supply specialist strategic input into the delivery of our education provision and offer us an invaluable insight into their sector.
They can also provide industry-recognised programmes within custody and support learners ‘through the gate’ into appropriate progression opportunities.
We are always open to new and innovative ways to extend our reach and give even more people the chance to embark on a crime-free future, so if you are interested in partnering with us please get in touch.Partner with us
